About the Producers

The community of Patlanalan is one of the most remote communities in Puebla. Here, farmers grow coffee varieties like Mundo Novo and Yellow Caturra under native shade trees. Mundo Novo is a robust, high-yielding Brazilian hybrid of Bourbon and Typica, known for its strength and adaptability. Sarchimor is prized for its resilience against leaf rust and other diseases, making it a practical choice for challenging environments. In contrast, yellow Caturra is a natural mutation of the classic Bourbon-derived Caturra, celebrated for its excellent cup quality, manageable size, and the vibrant yellow cherries that give it both its name and visual distinction.
